In 2023 Connecting Cabra piloted a garden-share scheme across Dublin 7 called Community Roots. We matched garden owners with gardenless budding growers living nearby and looking for a space to grow food.
The pilot proved a huge success. It won Best Newcomer at Dublin City Council’s Neighbourhood Awards. It was also featured on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland and in the Irish Times.
